Changzhi Medical College
长治医学院是山西省属全日制普通高等医学院校，坐落在素有红色之都、魅力之城美誉的山西省长治市，位于太行、太岳腹地和晋冀豫三省交界，是本地区开展人才培养、医疗服务、医学研究的重要基地和进行对外交流与合作的主要窗口。
Changzhi Medical College(CMC) is a full-time general medical college, seated in Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, which is known as a red capital and charming city, and at the junction of Taihang Mountains, Taiyue hinterland and Shanxi, Hebei and Henan provinces. CMC boasts a base of medical education, service, and research, and a major window for foreign exchanges and cooperation.
学校创建于1946年，其前身是“晋冀鲁豫军区白求恩国际和平医院总院”开办的护士学校，是在刘伯承、邓小平等老一辈革命家的关怀下，由延安中央医院院长何穆博士亲手创建，是中国共产党最早创建的医学院校之一。1948年改建为“白求恩国际和平医学专科学校”，1958年更名为“晋东南医学专科学校”，1986年升格为本科院校，更名为长治医学院。1996年通过本科教学工作合格评估；2004年通过本科教学工作水平评估。2011年被国务院学位委员会批准为临床医学硕士专业学位研究生培养试点单位。2012年在全国同类院校中率先通过教育部临床医学专业认证。2016年列入国家中西部高校基础能力建设工程。在长达73年的办学历程中，学校传承红色基因、担当历史使命，秉承“面向基层、德育为先”的优良传统，坚持“重质量、重实践、重特色”的办学理念，形成了以“厚德精业、济世报国”为核心的长医精神，为社会培养输送了近5万名优秀医学人才。
CMC was founded in 1946 by Dr. He Mu, President of Yan'an Central Hospital owing to support by Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaopi, preceded by a nursing school for the Bethune International Peace General Hospital of Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Military Region. As one of the earliest medical institutions established by the Communist Party of China, CMC was renamed Bethune International Peace Medical College in 1948, Southeast Shanxi Medical College in 1958, and CMC in 1986, when 4-year undergraduates were initially enrolled. In 1996 and 2004, CMC succeeded in passing the evaluation of undergraduate education qualification and that of undergraduate education proficiency, respectively. In 2011, CMC was approved by the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council as a pilot unit for Master’s degree graduate programs in clinical medicine. In 2012, CMC was the first to have her clinical medicine accredited by the Ministry of Education. In 2016, CMC was included in the National Basic Ability Construction Project of Western and Central China. Over the past 73 years, CMC has been committed to excellent tradition of grassroot units and moral education, and focusing on quality, practice, and characteristics, which has formed the medical spirit of "Moral, Excellence, Integrity and Dedication.”. Over 50,000 outstanding medical talents have finished their academic studies here.
发展至今，学校形成了医、工、文、理、教育、管理、艺术多学科相互渗透、协调发展的办学格局，构建了集研究生教育、本科教育、继续教育于一体的多层次人才培养体系。设有19个教学院系（部），开设本科专业20个。在校生11678人，其中硕士研究生238人、本科生9814人、成教学生1626人。现有校本部和五龙校区两个校区，占地718.93亩，建筑面积47.58万平方米，固定资产总值达到15.56亿元，其中教学科研仪器设备总值6.54亿元。
Over the years of development, CMC has formed an integrated tertiary educational system combining medicine, engineering, liberal arts, sciences, education, management, and art in graduate, undergraduate and continued levels. CMC owns 19 departments with 20 undergraduate majors, 11678 students currently on campus, including 238 Master’s postgraduates, 9814 undergraduates and 1626 adult students. CMC has two campuses, i.e., the main campus and Wulong campus, covering an area of 718.93 mu and a building area of 475,800 m2. The total value of fixed assets has reached 1.556 billion yuan, of which the total value of teaching and research equipment is 654 million yuan.
学校现有在编职工4677人（校本部944人、附属和平医院2512人、附属和济医院1221人），专任教师791人，具有硕士学位教师1232人，具有博士学位教师155人，高级职称教师414人。本校临床医学硕士专业学位研究生导师252人，外聘兼职硕士研究生导师98名。内科学教学团队为国家级教学团队，药理学教学团队为省级优秀教学团队。
CMC currently has 4,677 staffs (944 on the campus, 2512 in the Affiliated Peace Hospital, and 1221 in the Affiliated Heji Hospital), 791 full-time instructors, 1232 staffs with Master's degree, 155 staffs with doctoral degree and 414 staffs with senior professional titles. There are 252 and 98 part-time tutors for Master's degree postgraduates in clinical medicine. The internal medicine teaching team is of national level, and the pharmacology teaching team is of provincial level.
学校拥有国家级特色专业建设点和山西省品牌专业2个，山西省特色专业4个，山西省优势特色专业2个；国家级精品资源共享课程1门，省级精品课程5门，省级精品资源共享课程4门；山西省高校首批重点实验室1个，山西省示范实验室7个，省级虚拟仿真实验中心1个。拥有直属三级甲等附属医院2所、非直属附属医院9所，实践教学基地100余个。临床医学专业为教育部“本科教学工程”综合改革试点专业。2011年学校被教育部、卫生部批准成为全国第一批卓越医生教育培养计划项目试点高校。临床医学为山西省“1331工程”优势特色学科；内科学为山西省重点建设学科；“消化道肿瘤的基础与临床研究”团队为山西省“1331工程”重点创新团队；“消化道肿瘤综合防治学科群”为山西省服务产业创新学科群。近五年来，学校共承担各类科研项目417项，其中国家自然科学基金项目8项，省部级科研项目185项。发表论文2749篇，被SCI收录299篇；教师出版学术专著162部。
CMC has made brilliant achievements in curricular construction, namely, 1 national special major construction site, 2 brand majors of Shanxi Province, 4 special majors of Shanxi Province, and 2 advanced special majors of Shanxi Province; 1 national-level high-quality resource sharing course, five provincial high-quality courses, four provincial-level course; 1 first-batch key laboratories of universities of Shanxi Province, 7 demonstration laboratories of Shanxi Province, and 1 provincial-level virtual simulation experimental center. CMC has two directly affiliated third-level-A hospitals, 9 non-directly affiliated hospitals, and more than 100 teaching practice bases. The major of clinical medicine is a pilot program for the comprehensive reform of "Undergraduate Teaching Project" of the Ministry of Education. In 2011, CMC was approved by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health as the first batch of pilot universities in the country's outstanding doctor education and training program. Clinical medicine is a key special discipline of the "1331 Project" in Shanxi Province; internal medicine is a key discipline in Shanxi Province; the "basic and clinical research team on gastrointestinal tumors" is the key innovation team of the "1331 Project" in Shanxi Province; "discipline group of integrated prevention and treatment of digestive tract tumors" is the innovation discipline group of service industry in Shanxi Province. In the past five years, CMC has undertaken a total of 417 scientific research projects of various types, including 8 National Natural Science Fund projects and 185 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects. 2749 papers have been published, and 299 were included in SCI; 162 academic monographs have been published.
学校坚持开放办学，不断加强对外合作与交流，先后选派71人赴国外进行访问研修、学术交流。与美国、英国、法国、新西兰、澳大利亚、日本、韩国、黑山等国家的多所院校、医疗卫生和科研机构建立了友好合作关系。同时，与美国罗克福德学院、韩国大田保健大学、英国阿伯丁大学、澳大利亚阿德莱德大学、黑山大学医学院、以及澳大利亚西澳大学签订了合作谅解备忘录或协议。举办中美心血管疾病国际研讨会、太行·国际消化道肿瘤微创高峰论坛、第六届国际微移植暨细胞免疫治疗学术研讨会等有重要影响的学术会议和讲座30余场。
CMC adheres to the principle of opening and constantly strengthens foreign cooperation and exchanges. CMC has successively sent 71 staffs to go on their study tours abroad. CMC has established relations with universities, medical and health institutes, and research institutions in the USA, UK, France, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Montenegro and other countries. Memorandums of understanding/agreements have been signed for cooperation with Rockford College, USA, Daejeon University of Health Sciences, South Korea, University of Aberdeen, UK, University of Adelaide, Australia, University of Montenegro Medical School, and University of Western Australia. CMC has successfully held more than 30 international conferences, and academic lectures, like Sino-US International Symposium on Cardiovascular Diseases, Taihang International Summit on Gastrointestinal Tumor Minimally Invasive Surgery, and the 6th International Symposium on Micro-transplantation and Cellular Immunotherapy.
